Did you hear about

Did you hear about....? Tit 3:2 - To speak evil of no man - To blaspheme no person, to reproach none, to speak nothing to any man’s injury; but, on the contrary, bearing reproach and contumely with patience and meekness. Mat 12:34 `Brood of vipers! how are ye able to speak good things--being evil? for out of the abundance of the heart doth the mouth speak. Mat 12:36 `And I say to you, that every idle word that men may speak, they shall give for it a reckoning in a day of judgment; Luk 6:45 `The good man out of the good treasure of his heart doth bring forth that which is good; and the evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart doth bring forth that which is evil; for out of the abounding of the heart doth his mouth speak. Tit 3:2 of no one to speak evil, not to be quarrelsome--gentle, showing all meekness to all men, Jas 4:11 Speak not one against another, brethren; he who is speaking against a brother, and is judging his brother, doth speak against law, and doth judge law, and if law thou dost judge, thou art not a doer of law but a judge; Notice anything similar in these different verses? You should. It is something I hear done day after day among believers. If not between two or three people, then against a certain church. (Don't go to so and so church, it is not right as far as I can see) I was on a conference call Service this last week. That is an on line service that you phone into. I will not mention the name. Anyway, two people who were supposed to be Godly people began to accuse one another of the most horrible things. It actually turned into a full verbal war. Trying to out do the other, maligning each other; not even caring that other people were hearing this, that were there for the service also. What if a babe in Christ had heard this? Would that person be inclined to ever come back, or could they get the wrong impression of Christians, and walk away in disgust. I did. I hung up after hearing it all. My Spirit within me grieving! Funny, but aside from Jesus calling the Pharasies and Saducces brood of vipers, I never read where HE personally named the sin as HE spoke to a person. He especially never yelled it out loud for others to hear. Even with the prostitute, He only said, “Woman, where are those that accuse you?” “Neither do I, go and sin no more.” Brothers and Sisters, who are we to judge anyone? Yes, we are told to judge other believers, but not by screaming their sins to all who could hear, but by approaching them and with humility and gentleness, telling them, and gently leading them back to the truth in Christ Jesus. Do you not know that when you speak evil, your tongue is producing the power to heal or wound, live or die. This power of words that we have in Christ Jesus is NOT to be taken lightly. You can literally curse or bless, but when you curse, you fall open to the spirit of witchcraft. I don't know if the people I am speaking of will ever read this, but I pray to God we would all relate this to ourselves, and do a Spiritual inventory with the Leading of the Holy Spirit. A Storm Brews

We have a tropical storm coming called Nana. That is the name I am called. It means woman of grace and mercy. But just like me , this storm is acting a bit "erratic" Check this quote from the news: Tropical Storm Nana remains disorganized far out in the Atlantic, and is expected to fall apart over the next few days. Nana remains disorganized. At 5 a.m. EDT, the center of Tropical Storm Nana was located near latitude 16.6 north, longitude 39.3 west, or about 1,015 miles west of the Cape Verde Islands. Nana is moving toward the west-northwest near 7 mph, and this motion is expected to continue for the next day or two. Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph, with higher gusts. Upper-level winds are not conducive for intensification, and Nana is expected to weaken to a tropical depression on Monday. Tropical storm force winds extend outward up to 115 miles from the center. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1005 mb, or 29.68 inches. Now you all get to see how my mind works at times. I read this, and started to laugh. All I could think was that poor storm Nana, just could not get up enough wind to matter. Maybe because like me she is disorganized and flighty at times. The more she gushes forth, the weaker she becomes...LOL No wonder she is going into a depression! Well by now I am sure you are wondering where this is going. To tell you the truth, I'm not sure. God just said, "That would be a cool parable!" So.... since I figure arguing with God is a waste of time, since He always wins, I'd take a stab at it. As with most of my parables, they are about me first, then others relate later. I see the storm "Nana" as a person. They start out real good. Let's face it, she did get this far! However, she is a very unorganized woman/man. Are you like that? I can be. I try to keep going for God in my own steam many times, but it can sure wear you down. It is these times of weariness that the enemy will try to take space in your head. If you are unguarded, he will do just that. He likes it when we are disorganized and scatterbrained. It makes it easier for him to plant un-necessary thoughts of business into our heads. Keeps us busy, but not with the Fathers work! She, Nana, appears to not be able to decide which way to go? Hurricane or tropical storm. Likely she will fall apart! This is many in the Body of Christ today. They ride the fence of indecision, and can not seem to decide what to do. One foot in the world, one foot in the Kingdom. Problem is, God says, be either hot or cold, but since you are lukewarm, I am going to spit you out of my mouth. It actually says vomit you up and out! That sounds pretty permanent to me! Or perhaps you are just trying to decide If you should do this or that for God as He asked you too? Maybe He told you to give something to another. Are you the type who says, well…. I better pray about this and be sure this is God. Real Pious there friend! That, by the way, is called rebellion! Hello!! The end result of this hot/cold erratic behavior is separation or eventually “succumbing to a backslidden state.” Possibly even totally falling away. In all her bouncing in her own power, not the Lords, she is getting unorganized as best, and depression is about to hit. Ahh…. Now let’s suppose you do none of the above, instead, as you bounce from hot to cold, you are hit with an overwhelming depression to the point of suicidal thoughts. Just another possible side effect of the storm. (Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph, with higher gusts. Upper-level winds are not conducive for intensification,) This intrigues me. All I can think of is the people who are Long winded, but really say nothing. They come off loud and authoritive, but they have no real handle on a relationship with Jesus. All talk, loudly at times, but no action to go along with it. They say a lot good, but do nothing. Their walk with the Lord will never grow or intensify. Now lets take the coordinates etc., and see what happens when we put them to the Scriptures? These all fit, so think about them all! Nana's Position at 5 a.m. Five means: Grace; favor; healing; supernatural strengthening; forgiveness Position: 16.6 north, 39.3 west Rev 16:6 since they poured out the blood of the saints and of the prophets; and You gave blood to them to drink, for they were deserving. Joh 16:6 But because I have said these things to you, grief has filled your heart. Eze 39:3 And I will strike your bow out of your left hand, and I will cause your arrows to fall out of your right hand. Distance from Cape Verde Islands: 1,015 miles W 1Co 10:1-5 And I do not want you to be ignorant, brothers, that our fathers were all under the cloud, and all passed through the Sea. And all were baptized to Moses in the cloud, and in the Sea, and all ate the same spiritual food. And all drank the same spiritual drink; for they drank of the spiritual rock following, and that Rock was Christ. Yet God was not pleased with most of them, "for they were scattered in the deserted place." Num. 14:16 2Co 10:1-5 And I myself, Paul, call on you through the meekness and gentleness of Christ (I, who indeed to look upon, am lowly among you, but being absent am bold toward you); but I ask, not being present, that I may be bold with the confidence which I think to be daring against some, the ones reckoning us as walking according to flesh. For walking about in flesh, we do not war according to flesh; for the weapons of our warfare are not fleshly, but powerful to God to the demolition of strongholds, the demolishing of arguments and every high thing lifting up itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought into the obedience of Christ, Movement: 7 mph WNW Seven is: Spiritual perfection; God's choice vs. man's, Winds: 40 mph or say 40:7 Psa 40:7 Then I said, Lo, I come, in the roll of the Book it is written of Me; Job 40:7 Now gird up your loins like a man, and I will question you; and you make Me to know. Isa 40:7 The grass withers, the flower fades because the Spirit of Jehovah blows on it. Surely the people is grass. Minimum Central Pressure: 1005 mb 2Co 10:5 the demolishing of arguments and every high thing lifting up itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought into the obedience of Christ, 1Co 10:5 Yet God was not pleased with most of them, "for they were scattered in the deserted place." Num. 14:16 Rom 10:5 For Moses writes of the righteousness which is of the Law: "The man doing these things shall live by them." Lev. 18:5 (29.68 inches) Eze 29:6-8 And all those living in Egypt shall know that I am Jehovah, because they have been a staff of reed to the house of Israel. When they took hold of you by your hand, you crushed and tore off all their shoulder. And when they leaned on you, you shattered and made all their loins stand. So the Lord Jehovah says this: Behold, I will bring on you a sword and cut off from you man and beast. Isa 29:6-8 you shall be visited from Jehovah of Hosts; with thunder and earthquake, and great noise, tempest and storm, and flame of devouring fire. And the multitude of all the nations who fight against Ariel, even all battling her and compressing her and her stronghold, shall be like a dream of a night vision. It shall even be as when a hungry one dreams; and, behold, he is eating; but when he awakes, his soul is empty. Or it shall be as when a thirsty one dreams; and, behold, he is drinking, but when he awakes, he is faint, and his soul is longing. So shall be the multitude of all the nations who fight against Mount Zion. Pro 29:6-8 A snare is in the transgression of an evil man, but the righteous sing and rejoice. The righteous attends to the cause of the poor; the wicked does not discern knowledge. Scornful men blast a city, but the wise turn away anger. 2Ch 29:6-8 For our fathers have acted slyly and did the evil in the eyes of Jehovah our God, and they have forsaken Him and turned their faces away from the temple of Jehovah, and have given their backs. And they have shut the doors of the porch, and put out the lamps, and they have not burned incense, and burnt offering has not ascended in the sanctuary to the God of Israel. And the wrath of Jehovah is on Judah and Jerusalem, and He has given them for a trembling, for a horror, and for hissing, as you see with your eyes. Well as they say in Ecclesiastes…. To everything there is a season. Yet the end result or answer is to Fear God, and Worship Him only!

ABBA Daddy

Mar 14:34 And He said to them, My soul is deeply grieved, unto death. Remain here and watch.

Mar 14:35 And going forward a little, He fell on the ground and prayed that if it were possible, the hour might pass from Him.

Mar 14:36 And He said, Abba, Father, all things are possible to You; take this cup from Me. Yet not what I will, but what You will. Rom 8:11 But if the Spirit of the One having raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, the One having raised the Christ from the dead will also make your mortal bodies live through the indwelling of His Spirit in you.

Rom 8:12 So, then, brothers, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live according to flesh, Rom 8:13 for if you live according to flesh, you are going to die. But if by the Spirit you put to death the practices of the body, you will live.

Rom 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.

Rom 8:15 For you did not receive a spirit of slavery again to fear, but you received a Spirit of adoption by which we cry, Abba! Father!

Rom 8:16 The Spirit Himself witnesses with our spirit that we are children of God.

Rom 8:17 And if children, also heirs; truly heirs of God, and joint-heirs of Christ, if indeed we suffer together, that we may also be glorified together.

Gal 4:4 But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth His Son, having come into being out of a woman, having come under Law,

Gal 4:5 that He might redeem the ones under Law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.

Gal 4:6 And because you are sons, God sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying, Abba! Father!

Gal 4:7 So that you no more are a slave, but a son, and if a son, also an heir of God through Christ.

Hence the title Baba, or Papa, Pope or great father,"Abba" was a title not to be used by slaves to a master, nor to a mistress, only by children: Abba

This Syriac or Chaldee word is found three times in the New Testament (Mar_14:36; Rom_8:15; Gal_4:6), and in each case is followed by its Greek equivalent, which is translated “father.” It is a term expressing warm affection and filial confidence. It has no perfect equivalent in our language.

What a strange remark at the end. “It has no perfect equivalent in our language.” Therefore we usually say ABBA “Daddy”.

This is WHO I want to try to introduce you to today. Our ABBA, Daddy. Most Christians when they come to Jesus have a lot of baggage with them. Old Wounds, hurts etc. Many from their earthly fathers or mothers. When the pain has been caused especially by the father, it creates in our memories a person we did not like or who hurt us deeply enough, that we feel we would have been better off with no father at all. Jesus would heal you of this wounded spirit. HE is not like our earthly fathers. On the contrary, HE is the PERFECT Father. However, when we have no experiential father type, we tend to see God as we see or saw our own father. In all my years I have talked to so many who have such different views on God. Some are able to call HIM ABBA Daddy, others see a cruel task master, who expects too much from them. They feel like they have to work to gain his love (as they did with the real earthly father) How sad that is. God IS Great, and greatly to be feared, but not the kind of fear that verse brings up to many. To fear the Lord is to HATE evil or sin. Our fear of God is eased in knowing we can ask for forgiveness, and it is instantly forgotten by Daddy. ABBA Father wants to hold you. HE wants to protect you. He wants you to come running to HIM in times of trouble, AND in times of joy. What a privilege we have that even the angels marvel at. We have access into the very Throne room of Daddy. We can run in and tell Him that we are frightened. HE will uphold us in His right hand, and defeat our foes with His left. Even better is to go to Him in the Throne room, just to sit on His lap, and listen to His heart beat. Laying close to His heart we can find great joy, and rest. It took me many years to find ABBA Daddy. My earthly father was an abusive drunk. When he died I actually rejoiced. That was how deep the pain was from him. Eventually Jesus touched my heart little by little, and in HIS love I was able to forgive my dad, and move on with my NEW DADDY, Jesus! I think the most wonderful words I ever heard from God at that time was, You are DADDY’S little girl. I love you so very much. Come and hug your new Daddy, and see HE is good.” I yearned all my life to hear that my earthly father loved me, but he was never able to say those words to me. He told it to others, just not to me. Now here was my Heavenly Father calling me HIS little girl. I was 48 years old and fell apart when He said it. I must have cried for an hour, just soaking up my Daddy’s love for me.

ABBA, Daddy, fill each person reading this with an intimate knowledge of who you are. Our Heavenly Father. Perfect in all Your ways. Touch the broken hearts and mend the broken spirits caused by man. Woo Your Child to You as You did for me, and let them see for them selves that “Indeed, the Lord is Good!” In Jesus mighty name.

Peter and John

Peter and John Forgot Their Doctorates

By Robyn Cavalera

Peter and John are sitting on the shore line. They are looking into Heaven and thinking of the day Jesus left them. They were very excited about the life that lay ahead of them. They knew with the Anointing that Jesus had left them; and with the Filling of the Holy Spirit; they were ready to go out and preach the Gospel to all people. They anticipated the great Joy and Revelation so many would receive upon hearing the Good News. They thought of all the souls that would be Saved and come to Jesus with all they had to tell them about Him. They felt the strong Anointing of Holy Spirit Power on their lives, and readied themselves to go forth.

As they got up to go about God's business, a man named Saul walked up to them. Now John and Peter both knew who he was. They asked him what his business was with them? Saul told them he had heard they were going to go out and Minister the Gospel.

“Well, yes we were. Is that a problem?” They asked.

“It most certainly is!” Replied Saul.

“Why” They asked.

“You do not have the proper credentials to preach. Neither of you has a doctorate in theology, or Ministry. You have not even gone to college or Grad school yet.“

John and Peter looked at each other in surprise. Peter said,

“We did not know we had to have that to share the Gospel of Jesus to others?“ Saul explained to them only learned men or women who have attended school for the Ministry, or gotten their Doctorates in Theology or Religion could do such a thing.

Upon hearing this Peter and John hung their heads sadly. Alas, they could never afford school on a fisherman pay. They realized they would have to give up their dream of sharing the Good News, and leave it to the Pastors and Preaches with the credentials to do that. Saul seeing he had given them good and solid information, and that they heeded his good info, went about his way.

From that day on, no one ever heard of Jesus or what He did, because sadly, there were no Disciples with Doctorates or degrees in Religious or Theological studies. The End

Whoa, what a scary thought huh? Could you just imagine if the Disciples actually were told they needed special degrees or schooling to go preach? Of course, this did not happen as we know. They went about Preach the Good News to all who would listen. They used the words they had, and the schooling they had, and God worked through them with Holy Spirit Power and Authority. Now why did I write this silly story you may ask. Well, have you ever heard someone say, that unless you are a Certified teacher or Pastor, you had no right to preach? Come on now, I know you have. I know you have heard that and felt that without one you could never be a Preacher or Pastor. But that is a lie! The Word tells us that Holy Spirit will teach us in all things about God. He is the Authority we get and the degree we receive in Jesus. Beloved don't let the fact that you do not have a piece of paper saying you are a Minister or Pastor stop you from Preaching the Word. We are all called to be Ambassadors for Christ. We are ALL called to Preach the Gospel, in season and out. We are ALL called to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ and Him Crucified for us all. Thank God, the above story was just a silly fabrication of my mind huh? Or is it? Maybe I should rename the story,

Deu 32:17 They sacrificed to demons who were not God, to gods whom they did not know, new ones who came lately. Your fathers had not dreaded them.

Deu 32:39 See now that I, I am He, and there is no other God with Me. I kill, and I keep alive. I wound and I heal, and there is no deliverer from My hand.

Deu 32:40 For I lift up My hand to the heavens and say, I live forever!

Psa 106:28 They also were joined to Baal-peor, and ate the sacrifices of the ones who died;

Psa 106:37 Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters to the demons;

Mat 7:22 Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name do many works of power?

Mat 8:16 And evening having come on, they brought to Him many having been possessed by demons. And He cast out the spirits by a word, and He healed all those having illness,

Mat 8:31 And the demons begged Him, saying, If You cast us out, allow us to go away into the herd of pigs.

Mat 9:34 But the Pharisees said, He casts out the demons by the ruler of the demons.

Mat 10:8 Heal sick ones, cleanse lepers, and raise dead ones, cast out demons. You freely received, freely give.

Mat 12:24 But hearing, the Pharisees said, This One does not cast out demons except by Beelzebub, ruler of the demons.

Mat 12:25 But Jesus, knowing their thoughts, He said to them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to ruin. And every city or house divided against itself will not stand.

Mat 12:26 And if Satan throws out Satan, he was divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand?

Mat 12:27 And if I throw out the demons by Beelzebub, by whom do your sons cast them out? Because of this, they shall be your judges.

Mat 12:28 But if I cast out the demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come on you.

Mat 12:29 Or how is anyone able to enter the house of the strong one and plunder his goods, if he does not first bind the strong one; and then he will plunder his house?

Mar 1:34 And He healed many who had illness of various diseases. And he cast out many demons, and He did not allow the demons to speak, because they knew Him.

Mar 9:38 And John answered Him, saying, Teacher, we saw someone casting out demons in Your name, who does not follow us. And we forbade him, because he does not follow us.

Luk 8:2 also certain women who were healed from evil spirits and infirmities: Mary, having been called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out,

Mar 16:9 And having risen early on the first of the Sabbath, He first appeared to Mary Magdalene, from whom He had cast out seven demons.

Luk 8:27 And He going out onto the land, a certain man out of the city met Him, who had demons from a long time. (And he put no garment on; and he did not stay in a house, but among the tombs).

Luk 8:28 And seeing Jesus, and crying out, he fell down before Him, and with a loud voice said, What to me and to You, Jesus, Son of God the Most High? I beg You, do not torment me.

Luk 8:29 For He charged the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For many times it had seized him, and he was bound with chains and fetters, being guarded. And tearing apart the bonds, he was driven by the demons into the deserted places.

Luk 8:30 And Jesus asked him, saying, What is your name? And he said, Legion (because many demons entered into him).

Luk 8:31 And they begged Him that He not order them to go away into the abyss.

Luk 8:32 And there was a herd of many pigs feeding there in the mount. And they begged Him that He would allow them to enter into those. And He allowed them.

Luk 8:33 And coming out from the man, the demons entered into the pigs; and the herd rushed down the cliff into the lake and was choked.

Act 17:18 And some of the Epicureans and of the Stoics, philosophers, fell in with him. And some said, What may this seed-picker wish to say? And these others, He seems to be an announcer of foreign demons (because he announced Jesus and the resurrection to them).

1Co 10:20 But the things the nations sacrifice, "they sacrifice to demons, and not to God." Deut. 32:17 But I do not want you to become sharers of demons;

1Co 10:21 you cannot drink the cup of the Lord and a cup of demons; you cannot partake of the table of the Lord, and a table of demons.

1Co 10:22 Or do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than He? Deut. 32:21

Jas 2:19 You believe that God is One. You do well; even the demons believe and shudder.

Rev 9:18 By these three were killed the third part of men, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone coming out of their mouths.

Rev 9:19 For their authority is in their mouth, and in their tails; for their tails are like snakes, having heads, and they do harm with them.

Rev 9:20 And the rest of men, those not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands, that they will not worship demons, and "golden idols, and silver, and bronze, and stone, and wooden idols, which neither are able to see, nor to hear," nor to walk. Dan. 5:23; Psa. 115:4 -7; 135:15-17

Rev 9:21 And they did not repent of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornications, nor of their thefts.

Rev 16:14 For they are spirits of demons doing signs, which go forth to the kings of the earth, even of the whole habitable world to assemble them to the war of that day, the great day of God Almighty.

Rev 18:2 And he cried in a strong, great voice, saying, Babylon the great has fallen! It has fallen, and it has become a dwelling-place of demons, and a prison of every unclean spirit, and a prison of every unclean bird, even having been hated,

Rev 18:3 because of the wine of the anger of her fornication which all the nations have drunk, even the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her; and the merchants of the earth became rich from the power of her luxury.

Rev 18:4 And I heard another voice out of Heaven saying, My people, come out of her, that you may not share in her sins, and that you may not receive of her plagues;

Rev 18:5 because her sins joined together, even up to Heaven, and God remembered her unjust deeds.

It seems people are very inclined to believe in God, but not in the devil. Others believe in the devil, but figure now as a Christian, he has no access to them (foolish) Then there are those who believe in demons and make a point of rebuking them before reading etc., but they still underestimate their power. Then there are those called by God who do war daily in the Heavenlies, and go to the enemy camp to inflict great loss and pain in the Power of Jesus name and by HIS Blood.

I believe that many people are going to be very shocked when Jesus comes back, and HE takes the devil and all the others fallen angels (demons) and casts them into hell. The amount of them will amaze.

The demons know their time is numbered. They know their final out come, yet they choose to try to take as many ignorant Saints as they can with them to hell. Paul says; do not be ignorant of the devils schemes. He prowls about as a roaring lion to see whom he can devour. Satan’s greatest weapon is the ignorance of the believer. Ignorance in the armor of God they have, and failure to put it on daily. The Lord tells us…. “My people perish for lack of knowledge.” Even if one comes to them sent by God to teach them, too many do not allow that kind of “teaching” in their churches. The philosophy too often is, do not talk about “him” or mention “his” name, and he will not bother you. Oh are you an open target in these end times. He will eat your lunch and dinner and you will continue to deny his presence. I for one refuse to be tricked by the enemy that way. My God tells me to be always on the alert. To fight the good fight, and take back what the enemy stole.

1Co 10:20 But the things the nations sacrifice, "they sacrifice to demons, and not to God." Deut. 32:17 But I do not want you to become sharers of demons;

Rev 18:4 And I heard another voice out of Heaven saying, My people, come out of her, that you may not share in her sins, and that you may not receive of her plagues;

Lessons on Demons

Lessons on demons

The Lord taught me two lessons that day about demons. First of all, that demons have very good hearing and so we don't have to shout at them (like many people do) when casting them out! Secondly, that if our life is clean and we have faith in Christ's victory over Satan at the cross, we need command the demons just once - and they will leave immediately. One does not have to keep on commanding them (as many people do). Jesus cast out demons with a single sentence: "When He spoke a single word, all the demons fled" (Matt.8:16-Living Bible). If demons do not leave after a single command of ours, it would indicate that our faith is weak. Then we need to go away and fast and pray first (Matt.17:21). On another occasion, a sister from our church brought a lady to my home for prayer because she was having some problems. My wife and I spoke with the lady and then I asked her to repent of her sins and to receive Jesus as her Saviour. I also asked her to speak to Satan and tell him, "I don't belong to you now. Jesus defeated you on the cross". (I ask all who want to be saved to say this to Satan). All of a sudden, she contorted her face, and looked at me fiercely and changed her voice and said, "I was not defeated on the cross". Until then I had not even suspected that she had a demon, for she had spoken to us gently. But when I realized that a demon was there, I immediately said to the demon, "You are a liar. You were defeated on the cross. Get out of her in Jesus' Name." The demon left immediately. I knew that it had left, because when I asked the lady a second time to say the same words to Satan, she said it immediately, without any hesitation. That day I learnt a third lesson about Satan and demons - that they don't like to be reminded that they were defeated on the cross. So I decided thereafter, that I would remind Satan frequently that Jesus defeated him on the cross. I also decided to teach this glorious truth to all believers. (We have to speak these words to Satan, since he cannot hear our thoughts or what we say in our mind.) It is because many Christians either don't know, or don't believe, in Satan's total defeat on the cross (as written in Colossian 2:15 and Hebrews 2:14) that they live in fear of him and are afraid that he might harm them in some way.

Presence of God, and the poor

Psa 84:7 They go from strength to strength, being seen in Zion before God.

Psa 84:8 O Jehovah God of Hosts, hear my prayer; listen, O God of Jacob. Selah.

Psa 84:9 Behold, O God, our shield; and look upon the face of Your anointed.

Psa 84:10 For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand (elsewhere); I have chosen to stand at the threshold in the house of my God rather than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.

Psa 84:11 For Jehovah God is a sun and shield; Jehovah will give grace and glory; He will withhold nothing good from those who walk in integrity.

Psa 84:12 O Jehovah of Hosts, blessed is the man who trusts in You!

Have you ever yet entered that place of prayer with God that brings you right into the very Throne room of the King? That is what David was talking about in this Psalms. He had tasted the sweet joy and Mercy found in that place with God, and found it better than being any place else. "But Robyn, I am not yet worthy of being in that place. I still have so many areas of my life that need work?” So do I, but I go there as often as I can. It is not your righteousness or perfection that gives you that access. It is the Righteousness of Jesus and HE IS PERFECT. He is the One who gave us that access by His life, death, and life again into that room of intimacy with the Father. David knew that. He knew he was unworthy. He knew he sinned, yet he called himself righteous in God's eyes. He knew God had made his heart pure by forgiveness, as HE does with us all through His Son Jesus Christ. When we enter into prayer with repentance and thanksgiving, and enter HIS Courts with Praise for HIS goodness, we open a door, which takes us into the Holy of Holies. There, is where we find all good things, and our Shield, Grace, Glory, and strength.

Deut.15:7-1 If there is a poor man among your brothers in any of the towns of the land that the LORD your God is giving you, do not be hardhearted or tightfisted toward your poor brother. Rather be openhanded and freely lend him whatever he needs. Be careful not to harbor this wicked thought: "The seventh year, the year for canceling debts, is near," so that you do not show ill will toward your needy brother and give him nothing. He may then appeal to the LORD against you, and you will be found guilty of sin. Give generously to him and do so without a grudging heart; then because of this the LORD your God will bless you in all your work and in everything you put your hand to. There will always be poor people in the land. Therefore I command you to be openhanded toward your brothers and toward the poor and needy in your land.

1 Sam.2:6-8"The LORD brings death and makes alive;he brings down to the grave and raises up.The LORD sends poverty and wealth;he humbles and he exalts. He raises the poor from the dustand lifts the needy from the ash heap;he seats them with princesand has them inherit a throne of honor.

Psalm 12:5-6 "Because of the oppression of the weakand the groaning of the needy,I will now arise," says the LORD."I will protect them from those who malign them. And the words of the LORD are flawless, like silver refined in a furnace of clay, purified seven times.

Prov.14 He who despises his neighbor sins, but blessed is he who is kind to the needy. He who oppresses the poor shows contempt for their Maker, but whoever is kind to the needy honors God.

Prov.31:20 She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy.

Matt.6:1-4 "Be careful not to do your `acts of righteousness' before men, to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven. "So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

Acts.4:32-35 All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of his possessions was his own, but they shared everything they had. With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and much grace was upon them all. There were no needy persons among them. For from time to time those who owned lands or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales and put it at the apostles' feet, and it was distributed to anyone as he had need.

James 2:5-13 Listen, my dear brothers: Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom he promised those who love him? But you have insulted the poor. Is it not the rich who are exploiting you? Are they not the ones who are dragging you into court? Are they not the ones who are slandering the noble name of him to whom you belong? If you really keep the royal law found in Scripture, "Love your neighbor as yourself,"A you are doing right. But if you show favoritism, you sin and are convicted by the law as lawbreakers. For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it. For he who said, "Do not commit adultery," also said, "Do not murder." If you do not commit adultery but do commit murder, you have become a lawbreaker. Speak and act as those who are going to be judged by the law that gives freedom, because judgment without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgment!

Acts 10:4,30-31 Cornelius stared at him in fear. "What is it, Lord?" he asked. The angel answered, "Your prayers and gifts to the poor have come up as a memorial offering Cornelius answered: "Four days ago I was in my house praying at this hour, at three in the afternoon. Suddenly a man in shining clothes stood before me and said, `Cornelius, God has heard your prayer and remembered your gifts to the poor.

Lk 6: 20 "Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the Kingdom of Heaven

Lk 7: 22 and the good news is preached to the poor.

Lk 11: 41 But give what is inside the dish to the poor, and

Lk 12: 33 Sell your possessions and give to the poor. Provide

Lk 14: 13 But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the

Lk 14: 21 the town and bring in the poor, the crippled,

Lk 18: 22 Sell everything you have and give to the poor, and

Lk 19: 8 Here and now I give half of my possessions to the poor,

I've never actually counted them (maybe some day I will) how many times the topic of the "poor" and "needy" are mentioned in the Bible. But it seems to be a lot!! That tells me it is IMPORTANT to God!! Otherwise HE would not talk of it so often. It is like phrases on "Praise" and "Worship". They are too numerous to count!! Why??!!! They are of MAJOR IMPORTANCE to God!!! Praise and Worship can lift us up out of the trials and problems of every day living!! They are the weapons that send the enemy fleeing in sheer terror!!! I mean....satan and his little cohorts can not STAND in the presence of, or stand at all for that matter, around PRAISE and WORSHIP!!! I think a similar truth is in giving to the poor and needy. I think when we do this, it irritates the (excuse the word here)hell out of satan!!! It is a pleaseing offering to God, therefore an affront to satan!! Cornelius was not a "believer" at the time the angel appeared to him. Yet his gift to the poor, was the reason God sent the angel to him. God NOTICED this action on the part of Cornelius, and responded with help for Salvation to him and his family!!

I tend to notice stuff not said also.

It did not mention weather the poor had recieved the attention of God or Salvation, only that the one who reached out to them did!!! Don't know about you all, but that kind of makes me think!! I am not blowing my own horn here, just stating a fact... When I have been touched by Holy Spirit to feed or help another in need, I don't send them to the "Salvation Army" or "Sharing Center" for the need, I supply it myself (if I am able). I have spent my last dollar on food for another. I don't begrudge it or mind, it actually makes me happy to help another. It just makes sense to me!!! Funny, but in all the years of my life, I have never been hungry, homeless, or without cloths!!! He, Jesus, Really has supplied all my needs. I believe with all my heart, it is because I never shut my heart or door to any one in need. Now, I want you to know something here. I am NOT rich!! Actually I am very poor according to the standards of the world. That is my choise. I have known extreme wealth, and did not like the way it made me. I don't handle having money very well. That is ME!! God however would have us PROSPER in all ways. Yet, even with little, I have MORE than enough to share with others. I really believe I am the MOST Blessed woman in the world!!
