| Peter and John Forgot Their Doctorates By Robyn Cavalera Peter and John are sitting on the shore line. They are looking into Heaven and thinking of the day Jesus left them. They were very excited about the life that lay ahead of them. They knew with the Anointing that Jesus had left them; and with the Filling of the Holy Spirit; they were ready to go out and preach the Gospel to all people. They anticipated the great Joy and Revelation so many would receive upon hearing the Good News. They thought of all the souls that would be Saved and come to Jesus with all they had to tell them about Him. They felt the strong Anointing of Holy Spirit Power on their lives, and readied themselves to go forth. As they got up to go about God's business, a man named Saul walked up to them. Now John and Peter both knew who he was. They asked him what his business was with them? Saul told them he had heard they were going to go out and Minister the Gospel. “Well, yes we were. Is that a problem?” They asked. “It most certainly is!” Replied Saul. “Why” They asked. “You do not have the proper credentials to preach. Neither of you has a doctorate in theology, or Ministry. You have not even gone to college or Grad school yet.“ John and Peter looked at each other in surprise. Peter said, “We did not know we had to have that to share the Gospel of Jesus to others?“ Saul explained to them only learned men or women who have attended school for the Ministry, or gotten their Doctorates in Theology or Religion could do such a thing. Upon hearing this Peter and John hung their heads sadly. Alas, they could never afford school on a fisherman pay. They realized they would have to give up their dream of sharing the Good News, and leave it to the Pastors and Preaches with the credentials to do that. Saul seeing he had given them good and solid information, and that they heeded his good info, went about his way. From that day on, no one ever heard of Jesus or what He did, because sadly, there were no Disciples with Doctorates or degrees in Religious or Theological studies. The End Whoa, what a scary thought huh? Could you just imagine if the Disciples actually were told they needed special degrees or schooling to go preach? Of course, this did not happen as we know. They went about Preach the Good News to all who would listen. They used the words they had, and the schooling they had, and God worked through them with Holy Spirit Power and Authority. Now why did I write this silly story you may ask. Well, have you ever heard someone say, that unless you are a Certified teacher or Pastor, you had no right to preach? Come on now, I know you have. I know you have heard that and felt that without one you could never be a Preacher or Pastor. But that is a lie! The Word tells us that Holy Spirit will teach us in all things about God. He is the Authority we get and the degree we receive in Jesus. Beloved don't let the fact that you do not have a piece of paper saying you are a Minister or Pastor stop you from Preaching the Word. We are all called to be Ambassadors for Christ. We are ALL called to Preach the Gospel, in season and out. We are ALL called to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ and Him Crucified for us all. Thank God, the above story was just a silly fabrication of my mind huh? Or is it? Maybe I should rename the story, “Robyn and Amy Forgot their Doctorates.” So, what do you think huh? Deu 32:17 They sacrificed to demons who were not God, to gods whom they did not know, new ones who came lately. Your fathers had not dreaded them.
Deu 32:39 See now that I, I am He, and there is no other God with Me. I kill, and I keep alive. I wound and I heal, and there is no deliverer from My hand.
Deu 32:40 For I lift up My hand to the heavens and say, I live forever!
Psa 106:28 They also were joined to Baal-peor, and ate the sacrifices of the ones who died;
Psa 106:37 Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters to the demons;
Mat 7:22 Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name do many works of power?
Mat 8:16 And evening having come on, they brought to Him many having been possessed by demons. And He cast out the spirits by a word, and He healed all those having illness,
Mat 8:31 And the demons begged Him, saying, If You cast us out, allow us to go away into the herd of pigs.
Mat 9:34 But the Pharisees said, He casts out the demons by the ruler of the demons.
Mat 10:8 Heal sick ones, cleanse lepers, and raise dead ones, cast out demons. You freely received, freely give.
Mat 12:24 But hearing, the Pharisees said, This One does not cast out demons except by Beelzebub, ruler of the demons.
Mat 12:25 But Jesus, knowing their thoughts, He said to them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to ruin. And every city or house divided against itself will not stand.
Mat 12:26 And if Satan throws out Satan, he was divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand?
Mat 12:27 And if I throw out the demons by Beelzebub, by whom do your sons cast them out? Because of this, they shall be your judges.
Mat 12:28 But if I cast out the demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come on you.
Mat 12:29 Or how is anyone able to enter the house of the strong one and plunder his goods, if he does not first bind the strong one; and then he will plunder his house?
Mar 1:34 And He healed many who had illness of various diseases. And he cast out many demons, and He did not allow the demons to speak, because they knew Him.
Mar 9:38 And John answered Him, saying, Teacher, we saw someone casting out demons in Your name, who does not follow us. And we forbade him, because he does not follow us.
Luk 8:2 also certain women who were healed from evil spirits and infirmities: Mary, having been called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out,
Mar 16:9 And having risen early on the first of the Sabbath, He first appeared to Mary Magdalene, from whom He had cast out seven demons.
Luk 8:27 And He going out onto the land, a certain man out of the city met Him, who had demons from a long time. (And he put no garment on; and he did not stay in a house, but among the tombs).
Luk 8:28 And seeing Jesus, and crying out, he fell down before Him, and with a loud voice said, What to me and to You, Jesus, Son of God the Most High? I beg You, do not torment me.
Luk 8:29 For He charged the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For many times it had seized him, and he was bound with chains and fetters, being guarded. And tearing apart the bonds, he was driven by the demons into the deserted places.
Luk 8:30 And Jesus asked him, saying, What is your name? And he said, Legion (because many demons entered into him).
Luk 8:31 And they begged Him that He not order them to go away into the abyss.
Luk 8:32 And there was a herd of many pigs feeding there in the mount. And they begged Him that He would allow them to enter into those. And He allowed them.
Luk 8:33 And coming out from the man, the demons entered into the pigs; and the herd rushed down the cliff into the lake and was choked.
Act 17:18 And some of the Epicureans and of the Stoics, philosophers, fell in with him. And some said, What may this seed-picker wish to say? And these others, He seems to be an announcer of foreign demons (because he announced Jesus and the resurrection to them).
1Co 10:20 But the things the nations sacrifice, "they sacrifice to demons, and not to God." Deut. 32:17 But I do not want you to become sharers of demons;

Rev 9:19 For their authority is in their mouth, and in their tails; for their tails are like snakes, having heads, and they do harm with them.
Rev 9:20 And the rest of men, those not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands, that they will not worship demons, and "golden idols, and silver, and bronze, and stone, and wooden idols, which neither are able to see, nor to hear," nor to walk. Dan. 5:23; Psa. 115:4 -7; 135:15-17
Rev 9:21 And they did not repent of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornications, nor of their thefts.
Rev 16:14 For they are spirits of demons doing signs, which go forth to the kings of the earth, even of the whole habitable world to assemble them to the war of that day, the great day of God Almighty.
Rev 18:2 And he cried in a strong, great voice, saying, Babylon the great has fallen! It has fallen, and it has become a dwelling-place of demons, and a prison of every unclean spirit, and a prison of every unclean bird, even having been hated,
Rev 18:3 because of the wine of the anger of her fornication which all the nations have drunk, even the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her; and the merchants of the earth became rich from the power of her luxury.
Rev 18:4 And I heard another voice out of Heaven saying, My people, come out of her, that you may not share in her sins, and that you may not receive of her plagues;
Rev 18:5 because her sins joined together, even up to Heaven, and God remembered her unjust deeds.
It seems people are very inclined to believe in God, but not in the devil. Others believe in the devil, but figure now as a Christian, he has no access to them (foolish) Then there are those who believe in demons and make a point of rebuking them before reading etc., but they still underestimate their power. Then there are those called by God who do war daily in the Heavenlies, and go to the enemy camp to inflict great loss and pain in the Power of Jesus name and by HIS Blood.
I believe that many people are going to be very shocked when Jesus comes back, and HE takes the devil and all the others fallen angels (demons) and casts them into hell. The amount of them will amaze.
The demons know their time is numbered. They know their final out come, yet they choose to try to take as many ignorant Saints as they can with them to hell. Paul says; do not be ignorant of the devils schemes. He prowls about as a roaring lion to see whom he can devour. Satan’s greatest weapon is the ignorance of the believer. Ignorance in the armor of God they have, and failure to put it on daily. The Lord tells us…. “My people perish for lack of knowledge.” Even if one comes to them sent by God to teach them, too many do not allow that kind of “teaching” in their churches. The philosophy too often is, do not talk about “him” or mention “his” name, and he will not bother you. Oh are you an open target in these end times. He will eat your lunch and dinner and you will continue to deny his presence. I for one refuse to be tricked by the enemy that way. My God tells me to be always on the alert. To fight the good fight, and take back what the enemy stole.

Lessons on Demons
Lessons on demons
The Lord taught me two lessons that day about demons. First of all, that demons have very good hearing and so we don't have to shout at them (like many people do) when casting them out! Secondly, that if our life is clean and we have faith in Christ's victory over Satan at the cross, we need command the demons just once - and they will leave immediately. One does not have to keep on commanding them (as many people do). Jesus cast out demons with a single sentence: "When He spoke a single word, all the demons fled" (Matt.8:16-Living Bible). If demons do not leave after a single command of ours, it would indicate that our faith is weak. Then we need to go away and fast and pray first (Matt.17:21). On another occasion, a sister from our church brought a lady to my home for prayer because she was having some problems. My wife and I spoke with the lady and then I asked her to repent of her sins and to receive Jesus as her Saviour. I also asked her to speak to Satan and tell him, "I don't belong to you now. Jesus defeated you on the cross". (I ask all who want to be saved to say this to Satan). All of a sudden, she contorted her face, and looked at me fiercely and changed her voice and said, "I was not defeated on the cross". Until then I had not even suspected that she had a demon, for she had spoken to us gently. But when I realized that a demon was there, I immediately said to the demon, "You are a liar. You were defeated on the cross. Get out of her in Jesus' Name." The demon left immediately. I knew that it had left, because when I asked the lady a second time to say the same words to Satan, she said it immediately, without any hesitation. That day I learnt a third lesson about Satan and demons - that they don't like to be reminded that they were defeated on the cross. So I decided thereafter, that I would remind Satan frequently that Jesus defeated him on the cross. I also decided to teach this glorious truth to all believers. (We have to speak these words to Satan, since he cannot hear our thoughts or what we say in our mind.) It is because many Christians either don't know, or don't believe, in Satan's total defeat on the cross (as written in Colossian 2:15 and Hebrews 2:14) that they live in fear of him and are afraid that he might harm them in some way.

Presence of God, and the poor
Psa 84:8 O Jehovah God of Hosts, hear my prayer; listen, O God of Jacob. Selah.
Psa 84:9 Behold, O God, our shield; and look upon the face of Your anointed.
Psa 84:10 For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand (elsewhere); I have chosen to stand at the threshold in the house of my God rather than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.
Psa 84:11 For Jehovah God is a sun and shield; Jehovah will give grace and glory; He will withhold nothing good from those who walk in integrity.
Psa 84:12 O Jehovah of Hosts, blessed is the man who trusts in You!
Have you ever yet entered that place of prayer with God that brings you right into the very Throne room of the King? That is what David was talking about in this Psalms. He had tasted the sweet joy and Mercy found in that place with God, and found it better than being any place else. "But Robyn, I am not yet worthy of being in that place. I still have so many areas of my life that need work?” So do I, but I go there as often as I can. It is not your righteousness or perfection that gives you that access. It is the Righteousness of Jesus and HE IS PERFECT. He is the One who gave us that access by His life, death, and life again into that room of intimacy with the Father. David knew that. He knew he was unworthy. He knew he sinned, yet he called himself righteous in God's eyes. He knew God had made his heart pure by forgiveness, as HE does with us all through His Son Jesus Christ. When we enter into prayer with repentance and thanksgiving, and enter HIS Courts with Praise for HIS goodness, we open a door, which takes us into the Holy of Holies. There, is where we find all good things, and our Shield, Grace, Glory, and strength.
Deut.15:7-1 If there is a poor man among your brothers in any of the towns of the land that the LORD your God is giving you, do not be hardhearted or tightfisted toward your poor brother. Rather be openhanded and freely lend him whatever he needs. Be careful not to harbor this wicked thought: "The seventh year, the year for canceling debts, is near," so that you do not show ill will toward your needy brother and give him nothing. He may then appeal to the LORD against you, and you will be found guilty of sin. Give generously to him and do so without a grudging heart; then because of this the LORD your God will bless you in all your work and in everything you put your hand to. There will always be poor people in the land. Therefore I command you to be openhanded toward your brothers and toward the poor and needy in your land.
1 Sam.2:6-8"The LORD brings death and makes alive;he brings down to the grave and raises up.The LORD sends poverty and wealth;he humbles and he exalts. He raises the poor from the dustand lifts the needy from the ash heap;he seats them with princesand has them inherit a throne of honor.
Psalm 12:5-6 "Because of the oppression of the weakand the groaning of the needy,I will now arise," says the LORD."I will protect them from those who malign them. And the words of the LORD are flawless, like silver refined in a furnace of clay, purified seven times.
Prov.14 He who despises his neighbor sins, but blessed is he who is kind to the needy. He who oppresses the poor shows contempt for their Maker, but whoever is kind to the needy honors God.
Prov.31:20 She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy.
Matt.6:1-4 "Be careful not to do your `acts of righteousness' before men, to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven. "So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
Acts.4:32-35 All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of his possessions was his own, but they shared everything they had. With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and much grace was upon them all. There were no needy persons among them. For from time to time those who owned lands or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales and put it at the apostles' feet, and it was distributed to anyone as he had need.
James 2:5-13 Listen, my dear brothers: Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom he promised those who love him? But you have insulted the poor. Is it not the rich who are exploiting you? Are they not the ones who are dragging you into court? Are they not the ones who are slandering the noble name of him to whom you belong? If you really keep the royal law found in Scripture, "Love your neighbor as yourself,"A you are doing right. But if you show favoritism, you sin and are convicted by the law as lawbreakers. For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it. For he who said, "Do not commit adultery," also said, "Do not murder." If you do not commit adultery but do commit murder, you have become a lawbreaker. Speak and act as those who are going to be judged by the law that gives freedom, because judgment without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgment!
Acts 10:4,30-31 Cornelius stared at him in fear. "What is it, Lord?" he asked. The angel answered, "Your prayers and gifts to the poor have come up as a memorial offering Cornelius answered: "Four days ago I was in my house praying at this hour, at three in the afternoon. Suddenly a man in shining clothes stood before me and said, `Cornelius, God has heard your prayer and remembered your gifts to the poor.
Lk 6: 20 "Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the Kingdom of Heaven
Lk 7: 22 and the good news is preached to the poor.
Lk 11: 41 But give what is inside the dish to the poor, and
Lk 12: 33 Sell your possessions and give to the poor. Provide
Lk 14: 13 But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the
Lk 14: 21 the town and bring in the poor, the crippled,
Lk 18: 22 Sell everything you have and give to the poor, and
Lk 19: 8 Here and now I give half of my possessions to the poor,
I've never actually counted them (maybe some day I will) how many times the topic of the "poor" and "needy" are mentioned in the Bible. But it seems to be a lot!! That tells me it is IMPORTANT to God!! Otherwise HE would not talk of it so often. It is like phrases on "Praise" and "Worship". They are too numerous to count!! Why??!!! They are of MAJOR IMPORTANCE to God!!! Praise and Worship can lift us up out of the trials and problems of every day living!! They are the weapons that send the enemy fleeing in sheer terror!!! I mean....satan and his little cohorts can not STAND in the presence of, or stand at all for that matter, around PRAISE and WORSHIP!!! I think a similar truth is in giving to the poor and needy. I think when we do this, it irritates the (excuse the word here)hell out of satan!!! It is a pleaseing offering to God, therefore an affront to satan!! Cornelius was not a "believer" at the time the angel appeared to him. Yet his gift to the poor, was the reason God sent the angel to him. God NOTICED this action on the part of Cornelius, and responded with help for Salvation to him and his family!!
I tend to notice stuff not said also.
It did not mention weather the poor had recieved the attention of God or Salvation, only that the one who reached out to them did!!! Don't know about you all, but that kind of makes me think!! I am not blowing my own horn here, just stating a fact... When I have been touched by Holy Spirit to feed or help another in need, I don't send them to the "Salvation Army" or "Sharing Center" for the need, I supply it myself (if I am able). I have spent my last dollar on food for another. I don't begrudge it or mind, it actually makes me happy to help another. It just makes sense to me!!! Funny, but in all the years of my life, I have never been hungry, homeless, or without cloths!!! He, Jesus, Really has supplied all my needs. I believe with all my heart, it is because I never shut my heart or door to any one in need. Now, I want you to know something here. I am NOT rich!! Actually I am very poor according to the standards of the world. That is my choise. I have known extreme wealth, and did not like the way it made me. I don't handle having money very well. That is ME!! God however would have us PROSPER in all ways. Yet, even with little, I have MORE than enough to share with others. I really believe I am the MOST Blessed woman in the world!!

John 6 cont.
Joh 6:37-47 (LITV) All that the Father gives to Me shall come to Me, and the one coming to Me I will in no way cast out. For I have come down out of Heaven, not that I should do My will, but the will of Him who sent Me. And this is the will of the Father sending Me, that of all that He has given Me, I shall not lose any of it, but shall raise it up in the last day. And this is the will of the One sending Me, that everyone seeing the Son and believing into Him should have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day. Then the Jews murmured about Him, because He said, I am the Bread coming down out of Heaven. And they said, Is this not Jesus the son of Joseph, of whom we know the father and the mother? How does this One now say, I have come down out of Heaven? Then Jesus answered and said to them, Do not murmur with one another. No one is able to come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him, and I will raise him up in the last day. It has been written in the Prophets, They "shall" all "be taught of God." So then everyone who hears and learns from the Father comes to Me; not that anyone has seen the Father, except the One being from God, He has seen the Father. Truly, truly, I say to you, The one believing into Me has everlasting life.
It seems that Jesus always ran into people who had a hard time with things pertaining to His Father. Most of the “religious” people did not want to hear such things. Especially since He was “just the son of the carpenter Joseph.” To claim to be from God, and to claim to have come from Heaven! Gracious me, what an uproar that created!
I want to try and bring you into this picture for a minute. We are back in the Gospel days. While walking around the out side market we hear of this man named Jesus, that he is talking to the Priests just around the corner. Now we had heard stories of this Jesus, and so our curiosity is high. We go to where they are. As we watch, we see this man Jesus being accused of different things by the Scribes, and Priests. We catch a few words. “I am the living bread.” “All who come to me I will in no way cast out.” We begin to wonder WHO this Jesus is really. He does not talk like the other Priests and Scribes. There is authority in his voice. “Wait.... did you hear that. He said all who believed in Him would have eternal life! That we will be taught by God and in seeing Him we see the Father! I must know this Jesus! I must have Him in my life to speak to me! Hum.... I wonder if John is still baptizing in the river?”
That was fun, but back to reality. The truth is, if you do NOT have a personal relationship with Jesus, and have not asked for the forgiveness of your sins, you will spend eternity in The Lake of fire! Only Jesus has seen the Father, for Him and the Father are one. God took His Word, His only Son, Jesus, and made Him to dwell in the flesh of man. He came for one reason only. ONE REASON.... To DIE FOR US and our sins. He took the full punishment for our sins upon Himself. A perfect Sacrifice, that paid the price for our souls/spirits with His Blood. There is a day coming, as He told them in the preceeding passages, that He will return for His Own. He will raise us up on the last day, to be with Him forever in Heaven. Yet many, like these Pharisees, are too hard hearted to even listen to the still small voice that says, “I love you. Come to me all who are weary, I will give you rest. I died for you because I love you. Look, I stand at the door to your heart and knock. If you will but open the door, I will come in to you and dwell with you, and you will dwell with me.” How about it friends? Do you need a Savior? I did! He is waiting for you. He has been waiting for you all your life!

A Psalm of David
Psa 24:1-10 (Young’s Literal Translation 1898) A Psalm of David. To Jehovah is the earth and its fullness, the world and the inhabitants in it. For He on the seas hath founded it, and on the floods He doth establish it. Who goes up into the hill of Jehovah? And who rises up in His holy place? The clean of hands, and pure of heart, who hath not lifted up to vanity his soul, nor hath sworn to deceit. He bears away a blessing from Jehovah, Righteousness from the God of his salvation. This is a generation of those seeking Him. Seeking Thy face, O Jacob! Selah. Lift up, O gates, your heads, and be lifted up, O doors age-during, and come in doth the king of glory! Who is this--`the king of glory?' Jehovah--strong and mighty, Jehovah, the mighty in battle. Lift up, O gates, your heads, and be lifted up, O doors age-during, and come in doth the king of glory! Who is He--this `king of glory?' Jehovah of hosts--He is the king of glory! Selah.

John 6
I would like to do a study on John 6. We can let Holy Spirit teach as we go through the Scriptures together. Here are, first off, all the Scripture included in the Study for this segment.:
Joh 6:30-36; Then they said to Him, Then what miraculous sign do You do that we may see and may believe You? What do You work? Our fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, as it is written "He gave them bread out of Heaven to eat." LXX-Psa. 77:24; MT-Psa. 78:24 Then Jesus said to them, Truly, truly, I say to you, Moses has not given you the bread out of Heaven, but My Father gives you the true bread out of Heaven. For the bread of God is He coming down out of Heaven and giving life to the world. Then they said to Him, Lord, always give us this bread. Jesus said to them, I am the Bread of life; the one coming to Me will not at all hunger, and the one believing into Me will not thirst, never! But I said to you that you also have seen Me and did not believe.
This sure sound like many people today. We live in an instant society that wants instant gratification. Should we be told something we want proof positive. Proof that can be seen with the eyes or we will not accept it. If Jesus were here today, and said what he said in this section of Scripture, he would be hauled off to jail for language unacceptable in public. He may also be charged with trying to incite a riot! Labeled a cult leader of cannibalistic actions, who knows what else! Would we listen to him at all today, if we had never read a Bible, or heard of him, and he showed up, what would we do? Would we, with great joy, step up and ask him for the Living bread he says he is. Would we be hungry enough to want not only to partake of his body, but to be filled with his Blood as well? I wonder how I myself would react. I like to think I would be drawn to him immediately and run to his side to stay with him always. But really, would I? Would any of us? We have been given the gift of Eternal life by this man/God. We partake of his body and Blood often in remembrance of Him. We do this by Faith in Him, for we have never seen Him. Yet here were those who saw Him every day, and yet as He said, still they do not believe. How His heart must have been broken to hear and see such hard-hearted people. To know that soon He would literally die for them, to have the Blood of the lamb as a final sacrifice for sins. That the bread from Heaven could live always within us, a Communion if Remembrance, to be able to partake of daily if we want. I thank God that He chose me before the very foundation of the world. That I am a part of a chosen generation. I am so grateful that the living water sustains me in all things. That the Blood of the Lamb, removes my sin and cloths me in a garment of white. That by the broken body of the Bread of Life, I am healed of all my diseases.
